Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and political speeches and ceremonies. It is a celebration of the history, government, and traditions of the United States.
This year Dave and I celebrated Independence Day traditionally. We cooked hamburgers and chicken on a barbeque grill and had a nice lunch outdoors with the potato salad, blueberry pie and other food fitting best for the 4th of July celebration.
The peak of the Independence Day celebration is a night of bright fireworks. Although every year we have watched the fireworks from different places in DC area, this year we enjoyed the show from Washington and NYC in front of the TV. It was a great day. Happy Birthday, USA!
