The advantage to driving to work early in the morning is that there is a chance to see a gorgeous sunrise. These pictures were taken in the same morning, but sunrise kept changing colors drastically. I was even able to catch a rainbow from inside the car, while driving. What a beautiful morning!

The last time Dave and I visited Kennedy Space Center was about 12 years ago. The place has changed drastically since then. Since our cruise ship docked early morning in Port Canaveral, we decided to dedicate this day to exploring Kennedy Space Center.
We started our journey at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. According to the kennedyspacecenter.com website, it features the new $100 million dollar Shuttle Atlantis, exhibits and displays, two IMAX theaters, a range of bus tours of the spaceport, and the Shuttle Launch Experience, a simulated ride into space. It also encompasses the separate Apollo/Saturn V Center and United States Astronaut Hall of Fame. The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is where you can see the largest rocket ever flown, touch a moon rock, meet an astronaut, and stand nose-to-nose with shuttle Atlantis all in the same day.
Here is the Visitor Complex Entrance. President Kennedy had a dream that NASA fulfilled.
Carnival Cruise Line offers the popular Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast inspired by the children’s author Dr. Seuss tale of the same name.
Do you like green eggs and ham?
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.
Would you like them in a house?
Would you like them with a mouse?
…
Would you, could you, on a boat?
As opposed to Sam-I-Am, who has been offered multiple places to try green eggs and ham, we had only one option: on the boat. We couldn’t miss this opportunity and enjoyed this delicious breakfast on the last Day at Sea of our cruise aboard Carnival Sensation.
The Cat in the Hat ice sculpture welcomed guests as they entered the restaurant.
Nassau was our next stop after Freeport. According to the reviews, despite the numerous beautiful beachfront hotels in Nassau, the city itself doesn’t have much to offer. That is why we chose Atlantis Aquaventure Full Day excursion. The Atlantis is an incredibly popular mega-resort and casino located on Paradise island.
At Freeport we took The Bahamas Jeep Adventure tour, which included many Freeport highlights: a visit of the beautiful secluded beach, Clough Point, Garden of the Groves and the Junkanoo Club private beach among others. We were looking forward to a full day driving in our own 4×4 Jeep, led by an island guide.
Although Dave and I are not huge fans of cruises, this cruise was a nice little getaway. I am not saying that cruises are not fun, it is just you have to rush back to the ship in every port and onboard activities get a little boring after a while, but it is nice to take a cruise once in a while. Because of the time limitation, this time we chose a 4-day Bahamas cruise from Port Canaveral on Carnival Sensation, a smaller and older Carnival ship, but recently renovated and very clean.
