Pumpkin Season is here. While driving on Franconia Road, we noticed this cute Pumpkinville. This is a family owned business, which offers various Halloween decorations. We stopped there to enjoy their festive atmosphere with pumpkins, gourds, hay bales and mums.
One of the weekends, Pumpkinville had a Nascar car on site both Saturday and Sunday for visitors to take photos with and sit in. On Sunday they also had pony rides available for the kids.
Trader Joe’s, one of our favorite stores, showcased various pumpkins and their products. Pumpkin Season is upon us, and that means our neighborhood Trader Joe’s is prodigiously packed with pumpkins and pumpkin products.
The Pumpkin Patch event offered Family Fall Photo Opportunities, Complimentary Pumpkin Painting, Gift Bag Giveaways, Family Fun Activities, Kid’s Train Rides and, as always, the fabulous Taste of the season!
Safeway, our local grocery store, also sells bunches of pumpkins.
And the store offers seasonal decorations.

This beautiful Halloween passage was spotted in Clyde’s Restaurant in Rockville, MD, where I had lunch with my coworkers.
After Halloween, Dave and I decided to buy some pumpkins to enjoy seasonal produce. A salesperson at the Nall’s produce store recommended we try a Neck pumpkin, because it has all the pumpkin seeds in one place at the bottom, but the neck is all meat.
We purchased these 2 Neck pumpkins.
The neck is solid meat. We just sliced it and baked in the oven. Yummy, especially when covered with the pancake syrup.
Although this is pumpkin season, we definitely enjoyed some other food. This funny board at our local butcher made us smile.
Dave made chili stuffed peppers for the first time. They were simply delicious.
We tried waffle sandwiches at Mosaic Cuisine & Café, French restaurant in Rockville, MD. They were very good.
The company was even better. 🙂
We enjoyed this blooming onion appetizer, while dining at Outback Steakhouse. The prime rib was delicious too. For quality reasons, we don’t often go to this restaurant chain, but would rather choose higher end steak houses.
These cute Bar Phone Fees on the right are displayed at Ledo Pizza, where the Pomodoro Bianko white pizza is among my absolute favorites. It is hard to believe that LEDO has been making pizza since 1955.
We had a nice lunch while watching NY Giants game at the Bungalow Sports Grill.
And I found interesting these glass human heads at my doctor’s office. 🙂 Overall, we enjoyed this fall and all activities that it had to offer.
